As the economy strengthens, partners at the biggest law firm in Nashville, Tenn., have been taking the opportunity to leap to other jobs.
A total of 10 have left over the past 18 months or so, amounting to about 10 percent of the partner roster at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, the Nashville Post reports.
However, the firm says in a written statement that departures—such as that of former litigation group co-chair Lela Hollabaugh last year, to join Bradley Arant Boult Cummings—are part of the ebb and flow of ordinary business.
In our 100-year history, attorneys have left our firm at various times for various reasons, many to pursue tremendous opportunities, often with our clients," the statement notes. "This type of activity is common for a law firm of our size. We’re proud to be a firm that cultivates leaders, allows for opportunities to succeed and represents top-notch clients from all industries. We wish our former colleagues every success in their new positions.”
At last report, the firm had a little under 200 lawyers.
