Knoxville, Speeding Ticket lawyers, Steve Oberman and Sara Compher-Rice, can often assist you with resolving a Knoxville, TN speeding ticket, Tennessee traffic ticket, or other Tennessee traffic citation in such a way that many of negative consequences may be avoided. The facts, law and circumstances surrounding each Tennessee speeding ticket case vary. Therefore, it is important for persons in need of a Knoxville speeding ticket lawyer to consult individually with a lawyer to obtain specific advice about the pending Tennessee traffic ticket. The information contained on this website regarding Knoxville speeding tickets, Knoxville, Tennessee traffic tickets and other Tennessee traffic citations is no substitute for individual legal consultation with a Knoxville speeding ticket lawyer.
It is important to note that if you choose to simply "pay the ticket" by following the instructions on the back of the Knoxville, TN speeding ticket, rather than hiring a Knoxville speeding ticket lawyer, you are essentially pleading guilty the the Tennessee traffic ticket. As a result, once the Tennessee traffic court processes your payment, a Tennessee speeding ticket conviction will then be recorded and reported to the Tennessee Department of Safety.
A common misunderstanding often arises for motorists who receive a Tennessee speeding ticket in Knoxville, but are licensed in a state other than Tennessee. Tennessee will report all convictions for traffic citations, including speeding tickets, to your home state. Therefore, it is important to consult the Department of Safety or the equivalent agency in your home state or a speeding ticket attorney in your home state to determine the exact consequences your Tennessee speeding ticket or Tennessee traffic citation may have on the status of your driver's license. For instance, in some states, a conviction for excessive speeding (i.e. 15+ MPH over the posted Tennessee speed limit) may result in a temporary suspension of your driver's license.
Working together since 2002, Steve Oberman & Sara Compher-Rice form a cohesive team sharing legal knowledge, scientific developments and innovative trial techniques unique to Tennessee DUI defense. Many have referred to our practice as a boutique law firm. In other words, rather than offer general legal services, our practice is focused in a particular area of law—in our case, on the defense of those accused of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and other related crimes (such as Implied Consent Violation, Underage DWI, Boating Under the Influence (BUI), Underage Consumption, Drug Possession, or Traffic Offenses). We recognize the particular difficulties experienced by those who hold a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) driver’s license when they are charged with DUI, Speeding and other CMV Traffic Offenses.
